Artist Statement:

My identity as an artist has evolved over a period of 50 years. I have painted 1,936 paintings, with work in more than 500 corporate, public or private collections. My art is about conveying the beauty that abounds in our natural world. The paintings hopefully depict the extraordinary in the ordinary around us. I prefer experimenting with all mediums to accomplish this, finding watercolor to be the most exciting. It is the most unpredictable and challenging of all mediums, full of spontaneity & delightful surprises.

I have a great love of color, shapes and texture, and also use acrylics, inks, collage & pastel to convey this. Each painting is singular and special. Occasionally, I go back
to my first medium, oils.

I stay forever focused and entertained with this happy choice in my life, a commitment to exploration and creativity.
